This vintage 2018 has the following characteristics. 
Aromas - Dark, intense color. Very aromatic, fruity and fresh nose. Softly tactile on the
 palate. Blackberry, elderberry jelly, sweetness.
 Taste - Gourmet palate, velvety tannins, good length. A wine with potential, but
 which can be approached in its youth.

THE HISTORY
In 1961, Louis Rapin, grandfather of Nathalie Despagne and owner of Château
La Tour Figeac (Grand Cru Classé de Saint-Émilion), bought his neighbor's
vineyard in the Pomerol appellation. Around this small estate, he grouped
together other parcels and renamed the whole “Château La Rose Figeac”.
Following a succession within the Rapin-Despagne family, which has been
present in Saint-Émilion for two centuries, Nathalie inherited this beautiful
estate and took over its management in August 2013.
Since then, a great deal of work has been undertaken: restructuring the
vineyard, creating an operational building housing a modern vat room, a barrel
cellar, a storage cellar and a “caveau”.
The vineyard is planted with 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc over a
surface area of 4.56 hectares. Certified organic since 2009, all work is carried
out by hand, with the exception of operations requiring mechanical
intervention, such as treatments and the like.
