THE HISTORY
The Mirande family has been winemaker since 6 generations, but the
brand Château La Rose Cotes Rol was « only » created in 1952.
Pierre’s grandfather started to develop this brand and to sell his wines
with its son, to private consumers in France at the beginning. In 1969, the
family bought a building in the village of Saint Emilion, with a beautiful
cellar underground, on the limestone. It is now used as a storage with
perfect conditions, and the upper part of it became a restaurant in 2001,
run by the Pierre’s sister.
Pierre Mirande takes care of those 9,5 hectares in Saint Emilion since
1993, and also runs 4 hectares in St Georges at Château Divon that he is
renting. He is also a member of the famous Jurade de Saint Emilion.
