Blend - 65% Merlot - 20% Cabernet Sauvignon 10 % Cabernet Franc - 5 % Malbec
THE HISTORY
Chateaux Cru Godard belongs to Carine’s family since 1895. Her father took care of this
vineyard, ideally located in Francs, until 1998.
Franck, her husband, decided at that time to change his life: he decided to become a
vine grower instead of IT engineer, as his grand father was, and the generations before
him too. Carine & Franck, have been teached by Carine’s dad until 2002, last year they
took the production to the coop. It will then their first estate bottled vintage. They now
represent the 4th generation of their family on those lands.
They worked as « Sustainable agriculture » since 1998, and after that, the organic
farming sounds like an obviousness. 2010 was their first certified organic vintage. But
they did not stop here, as they now follow the biodynamic principles since 2016.
In 2017 Franck and Carine acquired 4 hectares in Lussac Saint Emilion to produce
Chateau Haut-Rozier.
